On October 7th, Access students continued with learning about the life and achievements of Christopher Columbus, celebration of his day in most of the states and alternative holidays celebrated on second Monday in October. They learned more on this topic through videos, songs and project works. Our guest was Mr. John Redos, US Fulbright Scholar. He was of a great assistance to the students, helped them in all the tasks they had. Activities included a project and creativity works such as writing a letter to the Kingdom of Spain, making a comic style cartoon, creating a history leaflet and doing a role-play entitled “The People vs. Columbus”.
