Access summer camp at Ivanova Korita, Cetinje gathered 46 Access students from Podgorica and Rozaje whose topic was Exploration of Culture.
Ms Judy Kuo, Charge d’Affaires at the US Embassy Podgorica, was our guest at the official opening of the camp. She talked about her cultural heritage and also focused on Asian food as an important aspect of her culture.
As an introduction part, students in groups discussed about similarities and differences among them. Afterwards, each group had a specific task to do – to talk about and prepare short presentations about culture and its different aspects. Ms Kuo had the chance to help students during their discussions while spending some time with each group. At the end of the workshop students gave their feedback by completing the statements such as: “I want to remember…; Something I learned today… “.
Students actively participated in the discussion and were very eager to express their opinions and thoughts about the topic.
